The Awesome Alligator

          I think alligators are awesome, so this is my story! The mother alligator builds a king-sized bed, and then plops on it to push it down. When they have babies, the eggs look like chick eggs, but if you look close, they are bigger. They live in lakes, swamps, and rivers in the southern United States and in China. They have no predators but their babies do. The alligator is a carnivore because is has long, sharp teeth. This predator eats beavers and fish. Birds, like herons, are lucky because they get to stand on the alligator’s back and get food without being eaten. They have many sharp teeth, but do not be scared because they do not like our taste unless they are hungry!
