Pelicans
By Anthony
Pelicans have pointed beaks. They live in North and South America in lakes and rivers. This carnivore eats fish like perch, minnows, suckers, sheepshead, pinfish, pigfish, carp, and silversides. They also eat salamanders and frogs. Some pelicans fly to get their food and some just wait until a fish comes up and they scoop it up!!! Its enemies are humans and chemicals. They make their nests on islands to protect their eggs. Sometimes, they can weigh up to 22 pounds!
