The Cute Black-Tailed Prairie Dog

          The Prairie dog lives in open grassy plains only in North America. The prairie dog is an herbivore and eats leaves, roots, weeds, and grass stems. His attackers are snakes, lions, hawks, birds, and coyotes. He hides in a hole to keep himself safe from enemies. The mommy kisses their baby to greet them when they are born. Prairie dogs mate in March and April.
