Do you know about giraffes? When it is born, within a few minutes a baby giraffe is struggling to its feet. It probably won’t make it on the first try. Giraffes live in Africa on open woodland and grassland.  The giraffe’s predator is a lion. The giraffe eats leaves, small branches, wild apricots, and mimosa. Giraffes defend themselves by running fast and kicking the lion. It has long legs and a long neck. The giraffes eat about 65 pounds of leaves and they band together in loose groups. I like giraffes and I think it is an awesome animal.
