Coyotes
By Joanna
Coyotes have huge bushy tails, large pointed ears, slender muzzles, yellowish-gray fur, and a long nose. Coyotes live in North and Central America, Panama, Alaska, lightly wooded, forests, tundra, and bush lands. Coyotes are omnivores. They eat birds, deer, prong horns, insects, vegetation, rodents, rabbits, and fruit. Coyotes’ predators are pumas, wolves, jaguars, eagles, grizzly bears, cougars, golden eagles, lynx, and people. Coyotes defend there selves by biting, running, howling, scaring, and growling. Coyotes have lots of interesting facts. Here’s a few of them: Coyotes hunt in packs, mate for life, have an eerie howl, can be heard at dusk, and are active mainly at night.
